Hanakimi 13

I don’t like the thought of her having one only because I like to think she maximizes her time with the others, but the results were quite pleasant, and we got to see a lot more of Akiha, which is always a plus.
I didn’t like the model, though, and I also didn’t like the theme of “finding one’s purpose in life.” A bit too heavy for me, and I like this series as a light read. Even though the model eventually did warm up to Mizuki, he was the biggest jerk in the series for most of the time he was around, so there was no 360 that he was going to do for me.
After that story arc, we got two one-shot chapters about side characters. The first one about Hamejima and his twin brothers paying a visit to the school was ADORABLE. I love Hamejima, I love cute children, and I love the combination in general. I’m also glad they picked Kayashima in the end. He is a cool guy, as illustrated in the next story, which is all about him and how he made friends at school. The one thing that unsettles me a bit about him is that I read Fruits Basket before I read this series, so he’s too much like Hana… Hana… whatever, the similar character who’s best friends with… the main character… in that series. I need to read some more of that stat, because I can’t remember anyone’s name, apparently.
