Saint Seiya 2

Yeah… this manga is pretty insane.  The fighting didn’t stop with this volume, and it featured a scene where Seiya had to hit someone who had died exactly hard enough to get his heart started again.  It also featured a scene where Seiya nearly bashed his head in, and then fought the rest of the battle with what the crowd described as “a real gusher.”

I still can’t make any calls about the merit of this, because it doesn’t seem to have much substance to it, but it’s still quite delightful.  It makes me laugh because… it’s just so random.  It goes from thing to thing without giving you time to soak in what happened.  Not that you would need to, because if this series ever slowed down, I think it would get really bad really fast.  But it doesn’t, and this volume ends with someone popping out of the Gold Cloth box.  We can only assume someone is wearing it and they will pose a challenge to all Knights.  At least, that’s what the Andromeda chains would have us believe.
