Three words: HOT SPRINGS EPISODE. There is a chapter called this. I about quit when I found out my payoff for sitting through the Keiichi’s parents story was a hot springs story arc. I’m kinda glad I didn’t quit though, because it’s not actually a “hot springs episode”, it’s about not getting to a hot springs resort, and it only features Chihiro, Bell, and Keiichi instead of Keiichi and the entire female cast, which is what you would expect. I’m glad this series always falls short of being a harem comedy… but sometimes it cuts things close.
The end to the Keiichi’s Parents story was also a little weird, and I was kind of confused what happened in the climax scene with all the goddesses and both parents. Also, I wasn’t sure when Keiima had time to make all the necklaces, but whatever.
Next up: Goddess fight showdown! Finally some more epic plot, and a new goddess! I’m not exactly sure why Peorth hangs around still, but maybe Lind will do likewise.
EDIT: yay, 600th post! I just randomly noticed that. Not a huge milestone, but an even number anyway.
