Swan 2

This is always a safe train book for me (because things like Poison Cherry Drive and Reiko the Zombie Shop are not things I can read on the train), but unfortunately it seems to have a tendency to make me want to shed big female tears for the love of ballet that the main charater has.

This series also seems to have the unique ability to not make the main character into a big innately talented princess who always gets what she wants through hard work.  She always works insanely hard, comes up short, and is offered consolation… though in this case she wasn’t even really offered anything.  She is constantly lauded with praise while she’s dancing, but she’s never quite the best.  I do wonder where this will take her.

Reading this sandwiched inbetween things like Bleach and Eyeshield 21 is kind of weird.  It’s… definitely sports manga.  It’s just got bigger breasts than all the others.
