Millennium Snow 2
Posted: July 31, 2007 Filed under: Millennium Snow 4 Comments »I was actually kind of disappointed with the second volume of this series. Instead of the development we got in the last volume, things kind of stall as we go on wacky adventures with all three (or four, if you count the bat) main characters. We learn new things, and a character from someone’s past is introduced, but it turns into an Ouran one-shot kind of volume with no conclusion. Needless to say I was pissed, because I was expecting this volume to resolve the series with the… consummation of the relationship between the vampire and Chiyuki.
Bah. It was still pretty cute, just not what I expected. Hatori mentioned in the author’s section that she may continue this one day, but wanted to work on other things. Which makes this an unfinished title. I did not realize, and I probably wouldn’t have picked it up if I’d known. On the other hand, I’m totally buying Time Stranger Kyoko, which ended prematurely, so who’s to say what I will and will not buy.
Yay, Time Stranger Kyoko. I’ve been wanting to read this for a while. Maybe now that they seem to’ve licensed most everything Tanemura has done, they’ll go back and get the rest of Wataru Yoshizumi’s stuff!
Yeah, I was kind of surprised that they picked up absolutely everything Tamura. I’ve been told that Time Stranger Kyoko was no good, but it certainly sounds cute, and I’m sure people will read it (me included), so I suppose everybody wins.
And I would totally love copies of Mint na Bokura in English.
I actually have the first manga and I wanted to get the second, but if it ends like that I’m not so sure. I was looking foward to the rest of the manga too…
She says she may continue it after she finishes Ouran, but it looks like Ouran is probably nowhere near finished, so who knows when or if the rest of this series will ever happen. I did kind of like it, though.
