Thanks! I appreciate the comment. I forgot to mention the weird computer game in the earlier reviews. After hearing so much about this series and its wars and reincarnated characters and whatnot, I was surprised the first volume or so was based around a computer game that possessed humans. Even after reading the first volume a long time ago, it's a totally forgettable detail, and I was surprised again when I read it recently.

The artwork is one of the reasons I was initially attracted to the series. It's been getting better and better, but I'm starting to have problems with somewhat similar male character designs now that more and more characters have been introduced, but I usually figure things out after the character has put in a few appearances. For whatever reason, I was really blown away by the small detail of Alexiel having the exact same face, recognizably, as Setsuna. Normally when two characters are supposed to look alike, they just don't, but Alexiel recently really has been long-haired Setsuna.

Cool writeups Connie, Angel Sanctuary caught my eye in a Taiwan manga cafe a long time ago and it remains one of my favorites. Since you refrain from spoilers I will too (though it's hard!) but random comment, I was thinking how far removed the story has come from the beginning volume. I mean "Angel Sanctuary" as it first appeared was a computer game... The author really takes the reader on a strange trip through her worlds.

Also these volumes are for me the high point of the artwork in this series, very beautiful.
