manga only if I like it
I reviewed this one for this week’s Minis column at Manga Recon, so you can read my review over there.
This is in case, you know, you were feeling a little overwhelmed by all the shoujo over here lately and felt the need to know about the newest volume in a shounen series I kind of hate.
Tomorrow I’ll throw in some random Shounen Jump Advanced volumes for some variety.
I'm sorry to say that Popcultureshock has closed its doors, meaning that updates will stop at Manga Recon. It was a fun site, and I'm sorry to see it go. I posted links to my last round of reviews there, and you can read some final thoughts from all the writers at the farewell roundtable.
Meanwhile, I need to get better at updating this space. The holiday slowed things down here a little, but I should be back to normal this week. I'm trying to clear a couple novels from my queue, and hopefully I'll be able to talk about The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya later this week. Somewhere, I have the final review of The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross too, and I need to post that. I also hear that the Manga Moveable Feast this month is Paradise Kiss, which is an all-time favorite of mine, and I think I'll be posting a series of reviews in celebration (and also because it's really sad that I haven't covered it here yet). We're discussing Banana Fish again this month too, so expect that roundtable discussion to be up sometime next week at the Manga Bookshelf.
